Super Powered Miso Broth
This simple broth is packed with nutrients, protein, probiotics and anti-inflammatory properties. It is a winning combo for omnivores and vegetarians alike.
Time: 5 minutes
- 1 cup spinach or mixed greens
- 1 ½ cups hot water
- 1 TBSP hemp seeds
- 1 TBSP miso (traditionally fermented refrigerated miso)
- ½ inch fresh ginger root (peeled)
- Optional: a small piece of turmeric root or a ½ tsp. turmeric powder
Heat water. Add all ingredients to a high speed ventilated blender. I add the miso last to give the water time to cool a bit so it does not break down the miso’s delicate properties. Blend, pour, drink, and enjoy.
